BREAKING NEWS: Follow Up On The Channel 10 news coverage of Pit Bull Attack in Miami-Dade County:
As you may well see, this incident reported by Channel 10 news was incorrectly reported. Attached please find the email from Kathy Labrada from MDAS. This was an American Bull Dog. At this time MCABSL is demanding that Channel 10 news run an up date w/ a retraction on this matter as soon as possible. The information given out to the general public by them, demonizes a breed and adds to the bad rap from media hype. This information must be corrected. Please email, call or contact them requesting this retraction. Thank You! Dahlia.

The November 24th bite incident involving a child was incorrectly attributed to a Pit Bull in the media report. The biter dog was surrendered by the owner for euthanasia and has been submitted for rabies testing. I have attached the incident report in which the responding animal welfare officer correctly identified the biter as a brindle in color male American Bulldog as well as the impound photograph. The dog was not at any time identified by the Department as a Pit Bull.
Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Hi Ms. Labrada:
I need clarification on a dog attack incident in which folks were injured. You’re team responded to this call in country walk recently. Channel 10’s news coverage labeled it a Pit Bull Attack. Therefore, I would like a verification of the actual breed of this dog involved in this particular incident. Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
